True spirit and constant dedication sustains the nation-wide movement against Medical Terrorism.
“In order to sustain a nation-wide movement against medical terrorism, there is a need of true spirit and constant dedication that is very well been orchestrated so far by Dr. Anamika Ray Memorial Trust (ARMT). The entire team of the trust deserve a big applause”, said Dr. Mridul Hazarika, Vice Chancellor, Gauhati University.
Dr. Hazarika formally inaugurated the Trust office, located at North Jalukbari in Guwahati on Tuesday along with the observance of Patients’ Rights Day.
He also added that the Trust has a sea of task in front of them to aware the common people, who in most cases become the victim of medical terrorism. “Mostly, the common people unknowingly suffer from the medical terrorism. Therefore, the Trust must look into the awareness of medical terrorism among these people”, He said.
The Trust, which has also spearheaded the movement to include Right to Health as one of the fundamental rights in the Indian constitution observed Patients’ Rights Day by awaring the Patients of their rights and responsibilities through social media.
Prof. Srinath Barua , founding Vice-Chancellor of KKHSOU, Prof. Dilip Borah of Gauhati University, Rajat Baran Mahanta, Vice-Chairman of the Trust, members of Board of Trustees and well wishers also attended the occasion.
